I have a hard time doing one thing at a time when that one thing is a boring task. So while I was blow-drying my hair the other day, sitting on the floor, I reached for one of my son’s games: the 20Q by Radica. This twenty-questions game has the uncanny ability to be right, so I usually try to think up something more challenging for it to guess than, say, a hair dryer. Since defeating a child’s game early in the morning gives me the ego boost I need to face the day, I really thought hard about this: What could I think up to fry 20Qs wires? Aha! I’d answer based on the word “muse.” The game would never guess that; the word probably wouldn’t even be in its system.
I turned 20Q on, feeling smug and oh-so-smart with my battle plan in place. [Read more…]
