August 14th, 2007 by Ray Rhamey
Ray Rhamey is a novelist and editor who has made his living with writing and editing for over thirty years, and is currently employed by Washington State University as a writer/editor. He has done freelance developmental editing of book-length manuscripts since the establishment of his Internet editing service in 2001, specializing in fiction by first-time novelists.
On the fiction writing side, he has written five novels and has had novels represented by a literary agent representation, although he is currently seeking a change in representation.
In non-fiction, he is publishing a book on the craft of storytelling and writing compelling narrative. Flogging the Quill, Crafting a Novel that Sells, is available for pre-order at Amazon.com, and should be released in late February, 2009. Editor/publisher Laura Abbott, Amber Quill Press, says this about his book: “I’ve read many submissions that were near-misses. If the writers had had the benefit of this book, they’d be published right now.”

Hi Ray,
I also found your friendly, familiar face on Agent Query as one of the people with similar profiles to mine. I also like your site Flogging the Quill – very useful information there.
I have a helpful writers site also called The Writer’s Edge – check it out at http://writersedgeinfo.blogspot.com
I was also wondering how to become a contributor for Writer Unboxed. I really enjoy the site and would like to contribute.
Lots of luck with your novels at Writers House and Trident Media.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Anthony
