Parul Macdonald is a freelance editor of many talented writers’ books and stories, and was previously an editor at Random House, Quercus, and a Literary Scout (aka Publishing Spy) at Eccles Fisher Associates. She has worked with authors like Andy McNab, Kevin Crossley-Holland, Tad Williams and Bear Grylls, and has had the honour of proofreading Jacqueline Wilson and Terry Pratchett’s books. (It was the only time she has genuinely enjoyed proofreading – she’s a structural editor.)
She was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand (after her Indian father saw an advert in the paper asking for people to move to NZ), but she moved with her family to England when she was 13 and has been a Londoner ever since. She loves to travel, and she can be often found drinking coffee, writing, editing or following the hottest tech startup. To hear more about the Publishing Industry or for editorial advice visit her blog. Do say hello on Twitter as well – she’d love to hear from you.
