Before becoming an author, Erika Liodice spent nearly a decade searching for a job she was passionate about. She worked for a gamut of companies, from small start-ups to Fortune 500s, where she marketed everything from vaccines to vacuums to virtual worlds. While her corporate career definitely had some glamorous highlights—lunch with Alec and Billy Baldwin, meeting the cast of The Sopranos, an elevator ride with Tommy Hilfiger—she ultimately realized that she’d left her passion on the pages of the novellas she had crayoned as a little girl.
Determined to build a career she was passionate about, Erika decided to embrace her inner entrepreneur and start her own publishing company. In 2011, she launched Dreamspire Press and released her first novel, Empty Arms in paperback, e-book, and audiobook. She chronicled her escape from corporate America on her blog, Beyond the Gray, where she continues to inspire readers to chase their own dreams. Today, she splits her time between freelance and fiction. She is working on her second novel as well as a series of action adventure chapter books for early readers.
