Bidding for my donation package in the Writers For The Red Cross effort is closes tomorrow! What you win: hand-illustrated handwritten instapoem about you or a friend PLUS a selection of writer greeting cards. For the latter, if there are comics of mine you’ve seen on Writer Unboxed that you especially like, just let me know.
I have friends and family in Japan (some in Sendai). All are okay, much to my family’s relief, but my heart goes out to those who have not yet heard from loved ones in Japan.

I always enjoy your comics. They are always witty, funny, and I can completely relate to them. Brava.
It’s so true that characters can haunt you. They drift about you, beckoning for you to write and finish the story.

My dreams are usually reserved, though, for much crazier things. Such as singing crocodiles, peanut butter and jelly monsters, and the like.

“I want to find a magic ring!” – eeeep, so cute!
We were watching an old episode of Grand Designs last night, and they were filming the couple’s 2-year-old boy painting the walls of his room. “He chose blue,” said the mum. He looked up and said, “No I didn’t” in his miniscule welsh accent. So cute! This made me think of it :-)

I wish my characters would talk to me while I’m sleeping instead of when I’m cleaning the toilet or driving . . . they always seem to find their voice when I’m far away from paper and pen!

This is so funny, so true! However, I would say, on the upside of this reality: I hear my characters speaking to me/for me the most when I’m at my writing best. So that’s a good thing! Thanks for a good laugh!
