People are definitely still spending. A lot. But overall, the numbers are declining. Our Black Friday was busy, but not as crazy as in years past. The company is adjusting our product flow, carrying less amounts, and we still have excess. I think it is better now than it was earlier this year, though, so I feel things will rebound eventually. Unfortunately a lot of my close friends are non-readers right now (circumstances just aren't allowing them the time, currently) but I love that I can still support bookstores (and thus writers) that way. So simple, and yet I might never have thought of it.
