Writer Unboxed: about the craft and business of genre fiction
RSS

Today is the big day!  CONFESSIONS OF A FIRST DAUGHTER has released!

I’m going through a welter of emotions.  Pride, anxiety, wonder.  I had a blast working on this project, and I hope the fun that I experienced writing it will translate to the target audience, teen girls.

And I hope it does well in sales.  If it does, then Harper Teen might consider other books in the series.  I’ve grown fond of the characters, especially after working on book two (I delivered revisions this morning after an epic week of writing — welcome to the glamorous world of publishing, Kathleen), and I’d like to see them live again in the pages of fiction.

Later today I’m going to go to my local Borders to see it on the shelves.

Surreal!

Thanks to you all for being so supportive of me through this project. It’s meant the world to me.  Our WU community is fantastic!

ETA: my DH sent me the link to Good Reads, and CONFESSIONS is on it! Nice!
