I guess I never thought of writing in that way. I thought I was more of a selfish writer, who just wanted to tell her story and be done with it. But that quote...wow! Talk about a reason to write! It is great that you are so close to finishing the third book in your series. What an accomplishment! I can only imagine the personal connection you must feel to your characters and their tale. They've been my daily companions through three years, two pregnancies, the birth of my daughter--so many important times! But at the same time, I did write the very last scene of the series first thing of all. So it really is with a sense of huge happiness that I can see Trystan and Isolde (as of today!) less than a chapter's worth of writing away from the ending I saw for them three years ago.
