Sarah, I am so happy to see you here and delighted to read about your work and process. I am a major fan and tell everyone I know to read your books, but I have one complaint, I'm sorry: my mother loves your books better than she loves mine! She would protest and say it isn't true, but it is, and if you were my real sister, I would have to pinch you.

Be that as it may, they are awfully good books and I'm really looking forward to the BBQ one.

In all seriousness, you're doing wonderful, beautiful things and I'm very happy for your success. Can't wait to read the next part of the interview.

Sarah, I just love your work! Your creative process sounds so familiar. Making it up as you go along works for me too!

Sarah, I'm a fan and another pantser. I love Garden Spells and The Sugar Queen! You pull me into your worlds, and it's a joy to read your books.

"SAA: I have a home office, and I work almost exclusively at a computer. My typical writing day consists of large chunks of time lost to procrastination and daydreaming. But the closer I get to a deadline, the more hours I spend in front of the computer. Just this past Sunday, trying to finish up my next book, my butt was parked at my desk for fourteen hours."

Me too! So reassuring, thank you.

"SAA: My writing process is very organic. I start with an idea. I have the general story arc and the cast. But then I sit down to write and things change. New characters appear, some disappear."

Ditto that.

Thanks so much, I look forward to Part 2!
