Whatever works is good:-) I've been writing for years with no outline and have not come up with anything worthwhile in that time. My writing group persuaded me to do an outline with the latest WIP - they even helped me to invent it - and I was surprised how much easier it made the writing. I just have to learn now how to dredge the story up from the unconscious on demand: easier said than done, but I'm slowly getting better at it. But if I could flimmer my way through and still come up with a good book, I would prefer to work that way. It's much more fun!

Interesting, I guess there are more authors then I thought who don't have a strict plot outlined prior to writing and researching their book. I guess I'm not alone...

I'm gobsmacked to hear Diana say she doesn't plot in advance.

Wow, haha, she sure had lots to say!

Well I'm glad to see that someone else writes in a similar manner to myself. (Or vice versa, I suppose.) Because I've been trying to force myself to be more of a planner, and it's not working. :( I don't think linearly, I don't envision the scenes in order, and I don't like losing the element of surprise even for myself as I'm writing! So thanks for the reassurance!
