Wow Teri! I have been so busy working at my pay the house payment job that I had not even looked here in a good while, and of course our class has sort of fizzled, so I am very belated in giving you a HUGE HIGH FIVE for this accomplishment! Congratulations! I cannot wait to read your book when it comes out (and I know it will!). And then I can say I knew you (well sort of) before your first published fiction!

It was a delight corresponding with you during our class, and I hope we can stay in touch. I’m still working through my last few weeks of stuff, still pushing, still feeding the Girls, still dreaming . . . You are an inspiration!

Congratulations! Your story makes me optimistic about my career in writing. I think you’ve convinced me to find an agent. I bought a copy of Writer’s Market this winter and was just going to find studios who might want to buy my screenplay. I was also looking for journals that might want to run some of my short stories. But it just sounds so much easier to get an agent to do it for me. When I decide to write my first novel, hopefully I’ll have an agent already from my other work. Again your story is so encouraging. Good luck.

YES, Suzanne and Jennifer and Melanie and Thea and anyone else who’s out there and struggling, just keep going, keep going. I think even a year ago there was a part of me that thought, “I’m never, ever going to finish this book.”
