Karin, I want you to name a character after me, but you better pronounce it right. ;)

Now I'm going to join the Street Team loop. This is so Tipping-Point-ish!

Ladies, there are openings on Karin's Street Team. LOL

A friend was over for dinner last week, and I gave her Karin's bookmarks and told her how great her books are. (My friend is a big reader.) This weekend I'll tell my sil to buy Jaded and Master of Surrender. She's the person who got me hooked on romances many years ago. :)

Guerrilla marketing. I love it!

It'll be cool to hear what works and what doesn't, Karen. Since publisher-supported promo is pretty spotty for writers, this DIY approach is empowering.

Keep us posted!

Hey, Therese, thank you again for having me.

Donna, I can't take credit for the concept, it's been out there for awhile, but what Edie and I did (mostly Edie) was blend all of the ideas we really liked with some of our own and came up with what you see here. It still has some rough edges but we're getting there.

Therese, since we're just getting this off the ground I can't pinpoint any one specific strategy that is working, I can say this though: I think fronting the books in the book stores and putting bookmarks in them will draw attention, as well as word of mouth. That and an overall sense of excitement for the street team member as they talk up the books with readers and booksellers.

I'm really excited about this, and hope to grow a solid group of cheerleaders.

* A chance to name a character after you in my next book.

Great ideas for friends/fans.

* An invite to my Yahoo Street Team group where we can chat about everything and anything, including fun street tactics.

Karin, I'd love to hear some of the approaches that have worked for your street team.

Thanks for the post!
