Thanks, Ivanka. I can't claim to write literary masterpieces, but I try to write as well as I can. Even though I sometimes rant or grumble about the process, there are few occupations I love more than writing.

I truly enjoy your comments and getting an insight into the background of the actual writing process. I find it fascinating. We readers somtimes forget that authors can at times struggle to compose these literary masterpieces that we so enjoy. The flow of words seems to be so effortless and yet so enticing that we forget how much work actually goes on behind the scenes.
Thanks

Many, of not most, writers seem to be introverts. But it's so nice meet or to hear a talk by someone you've long admired, or to be introduced to the work of a previously unknown author through having met him or her or hearing a panel or talk. I take my hat off to shy writers for making themselves available to readers and fans through signings, conventions, tutorials etc.

Therese,

Why do you think I'm such a stickler for structure? :)

Because I don't like thinking about organization when I'm in my creative fury.

I will post at some future point about romance in fantasy. While preparing for that panel I was struck by the fact that the history of these two genres runs closely parallel.

Good advice for aspiring writers might be: learn the tools of your craft so well you don’t need to think about them, then let your imagination loose.

That's great advice, Juliet. Thanks for sharing this experience with us.
