Hi Roz--

Thank you so much! I'm so pleased (and awfully humbled) that you feel the book not only measures up but exceeds your expectations.

Do also thank that Barnes & Noble book seller for me. She, and others like her, are invaluable to new authors, whose biggest challenge is getting people to know our books exist.

I'm nearly finished with my next book. I hope you'll look for it when it's released next February.

Warmest wishes to you--
Therese Fowler

Therese Fowler - I am an avid reader and purchase my books at Barnes and Noble in West Bloomfield Michigan.
The book adviser saw that I was having difficulty finding a good book - and she shared with me the popularity of your book.

I want you to know that it is the best novel that I have in many years. I am a big fan of Nicholas Sparks and Jodi Picoult - but you have surpassed them with this spectacular novel. I cannot put it down - but yet I don't want it to end.

I sincerely hope that you continue writing more books - because you have a talent that is beyond words. This story was so touching - so beautiful - so real - and it was written in a way that I felt like I was part of the scenario.

Sincerely,
Roz Mendelson

This is a great interview. Not only do you allow Therese to promote her book, your questions give her the space to talk at length at how she arrived at the final version. I look forward to reading Souvenir.

What I found most useful, as an aspiring author, were Therese's comments about MFA programs, as well as the length of her writing journey.

I would enjoy reading more articles about the pros and cons of MFA programs.

Therese,
Excellent answers, including some that may be hard to hear and even harder to act upon, to very pertinent questions. I'll be waiting for part two.

And Teri,
Thanks, as always, for presenting this. So glad I found this site.
