As you already know, it’s Patry Francis Day here at WU–and all around the blogosphere. In fact, over 300 bloggers have stepped up in support of Patry Francis and her debut novel, The Liar’s Diary. Want to know more about the blog-wide effort to promote Patry’s book? Check out this great article HERE at Red Room. Want to join the effort to help publicize Patry’s first novel? All you have to do is blog about it. Let’s help turn 300 into 600 and support our fellow writer.

Though Liar’s Diary marks Patry’s first novel, she’s not new to the world of fiction. In fact, her work has appeared in publications across the country, including Colorado Review, Tampa Review, The American Poetry Review and even the Ontario Review. Patry’s also been nominated for the Pushcart Prize three times. The Pushcart Prize may or may not be on your radar, but it’s a significant hat tip to those publishing outstanding short stories, essays and poetry. According to their website, “Writers who were first noticed here include: Raymond Carver, Tim O’Brien, Jayne Anne Phillips, Charles Baxter, Andre Dubus, Susan Minot, Mona Simpson, John Irving, Rick Moody, and many more.”

Impressive, no?

Check out some of Patry’s work HERE, download her Amazon Short, My Women, HERE. (Twenty-one pages for 49 cents. That’s a bargain, folks.) And please consider purchasing her novel The Liar’s Diary for yourself and a friend. We know this industry is about numbers, and the first book is so very important. Patry doesn’t have the energy right now to promote this novel the way she would ideally. Let’s help her out.

Want to know more about the book Tess Gerritsen called “A twisting ride full of dangerous curves and jaw-dropping surprises,” Publisher’s Weekly called “A quirky, well-written and well-constructed mystery with an edge” and The New York Daily News called “Outright chilling?” Check out this YouTube book trailer of The Liar’s Diary.

Write on, all!
