I back my writing up to Google Docs -- just copy and paste the whole thing. Then I can access it anywhere, and it keeps track of revisions for me, too. You have just reminded me I should have the photos I haven't uploaded to Flickr backed up somewhere besides the external hard drive next to my computer, though, since I may not have the presence of mind to grab that should evacuation be necessary. I’m glad your mom (and her house, and her cat) are okay.
