But I've found that turning off my computer somehow helps my brain turn off the writing/marketing side and focus on other things. Particularly for starting out writers,it's hard to say no because you don't know if something else is around the corner. I'm working on that now and have done that a few times in the past couple of months. I have great angst as I send the email, but then I get over it quite quickly. It's a relief to know that I'm not the only person in the world who has to work backwards to get places on time :) And you're right about saying no to things, especially things where people are making assumptions about how you spend your time ("dabbling"...sigh...)
