I’m excited about the release. I hope that JK will not disappoint us by doing something out of the blue. I’ve just reread the entire series in preparation for the release, and I’ve got some new/revised theories, so it will be interesting to see how those pan out. I do hope No. 7 is the end as promised, but I desperately hope it’s not because of some contrived conclusion.

I guess we’ll see, come midnight Saturday…

Doing my best Chandler Bing impression: could expectations *be* any higher?

I certainly hope Neville or Snape don’t get killed, that would make me cry. Hagrid not so much.

Much against my better judgment I’m getting a bit excited about this last book too. If for no other reason than it will all be over! I really hope that Rowling wraps it up nicely and leaves it there, with the readers wanting more. If she starts dragging it out with further books, The Adventures of Ron & Hermione or somesuch, I’ll be very disappointed in her. I just hope she manages to pull off a well rounded and satisfying final volume.
