Heart's Blood is a stand alone novel, unrelated to any of my others. A continuation of Faolan's story will have to wait until my publishers decide they want another in the Bridei Chronicles. (Remembering the earlier discussion of 'Mary Sue' characters on WB, I am sure this development in Faolan's life moves him a little further away from the 'enigmatic assasin with a dark past' fantasy character model. It was completely satisfying. Eile was a great character and perfect for Faolan, and I adored seeing Faolan - Faolan of all people - stepping into the role of father. That was precious.
