my son, devon, and i read the Giver together. i found it a very challenging story, very sad. my sister, an elementary school principal, loves Lois Lowry and she gave me as a gift her book on writing and her life. i think my sister might have met her at a book conference or teacher book fair. anyway, great interview, really interesting insights into writing. loved the childrens' questions. great job, WU (as usual)
